DURATION AND SCHEDULE
AT A GLANCE
Over the duration of the course, students develop practical skills and a deep understanding of hair-styling techniques for session styling. That is; fundamental skills for styling hair in film, TV, bridal, special occasions, fashion, and beauty applications. Both delivery modes of the program are designed to maximise the trainer-student contact while allowing the students to troubleshoot techniques and gain valuable constructive feedback.
Face-to-face
Our face-to-face program is designed for people wanting to fast-track their learning with intensive classes over a relatively short time of 10 weeks. Often students completing the HUXLEY Makeup Diploma Of Screen and Media Specialist Makeup Services undertake this program during their course. This way the student has the opportunity to apply their hair training directly to in-class projects such as portfolio photoshoots and work experience placements.
Blended
Our mixed-mode blended delivery mode is for students wanting more flexibility and a longer duration to complete the course. Over 4 months students work on weekly hair practice activities and attend two 5 day face-to-face learning blocks. The face-to-face learning blocks are held once at the beginning of the program and one at the end of the course. Between blocks, students are encouraged to utilise the HUXLEY hair video library and gain mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback from their expert trainers.

If a student has an existing payment plan with HUXLEY they may be able to add the hair course fees to this course, with a deposit paid in full prior to commencing the program.
