Progressive Makeup Artistry | International Students

Progressive Makeup Artistry Course (Both FBMUAC & SPFXC courses): 

This course is designed with the same framework as our CUA51020 Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Make-up Services). However, it is broken into two courses, FBMUAC and SPFXC, that enables international students to access the course on non-student VISA types; for an example, applicants on working or tourist VISAs. 

Students that enrol in this course have access to the Huxley Studio, campus facilities, and face-to-face support of students and faculty. The modules have been designed to challenge even the most qualified makeup artists. Proven teaching methods, a positive school culture, and practical-industry focused lessons, accelerate our student’s skill and potential.  

An abundance of work opportunities will be available to you through our extensive industry network, as we are always the first to hear about work experience on upcoming film sets. Throughout the course, student also develop a portfolio of their work by participating in professional photoshoots hosted in the Huxley Studio.

Fashion & Beauty Makeup Artistry Course (FBMUAC):

In the beauty segment of the course, you will gain professional makeup artistry skills to work within bridal, film, fashion, theatre, cosmetics, retail, e-commerce, art, drag and much more. Our beauty trainers have experience working on film productions such as Elvis, Thor, and Aquaman, and the school has worked with Vogue, YSL, Mercedes Benz and many other brands in the past. 

Special Effects Makeup Artistry Course (SPFXC):

In the special effects segment of the course, students learn the fundamentals of special effects makeup and advanced makeup design for film and TV. You will  be taught by active industry professional that have worked on major film productions such as Wolverine, The Matrix, Wolf Creek, and much more.

This qualification is open to all experience levels, from a total newbie to a skilled professional. However, during the application process students must demonstrate passion, drive and determination to learn about makeup and the makeup industry to be a successful candidate.
