The Huxley School of Makeup held a workshop for the celebrity makeup artist Martin Bray! He is the fabulous head makeup artist for X-Factor, who has also worked on Kylie Minogue, Kelly Rowland and INXS. He is currently based in Barcelona however, travels around the world for his craft.

In his workshop which was for Queensland professional makeup artists, he created various creative makeup looks from using bold colours, lots of glitter to a simple makeup look.

Here are some behind the scene photos from the event and some of the amazing looks he created.

Recently the Huxley School of Makeup produced their 2nd edition of their magazine. This magazine was done entirely in house from writing the captivating articles to the exquisite photography and the artistic designs.

There is something so uniquely special about the Huxley School of Makeup. There is no other school in the country like it. Years ago I had a dream to create a place where we could inspire future makeup artists. A place where they could learn about all the intricacies of this technical discipline, and more importantly; where they could reach their personal and educational objectives whilst still allowing their individual personalities to shine.

From this our school motto was conceived;
Be Inspired, Be Informed, Be Yourself.

It is difficult to describe the growth of the Huxley School of Makeup since its humble beginnings in 2011. We set out with big goals, positive thinking, hard work and passion have really paid off. Several years later and we are releasing our second issue of the Huxley Magazine in which we share all the things that make this school so fantastic.

I couldn’t be more proud of my dedicated trainers, staff and talented students. If it wasn’t for them, there wouldn’t be a school and this magazine is as much of a celebration of them as it is of the school. As you flick through the pages, you’ll get an insight into how the Huxley School of Makeup works and why it has developed the reputation as Australia’s number one Makeup School.

The Huxley School of Makeup has a massive online presence and many of our students are attracted to the school through our social networks and beautiful website. You won’t find any stock images there! We exclusively use images of our students work from their portfolios and their work experience placements.

This magazine is full of interesting articles that highlight our core business values. It also outlines course details and essential school information. This publication was developed for makeup enthusiasts, as a guide for future students and also to commemorate our graduates.

Captured and Seduced is short creative fashion film centred around two unique characters one of which is extraterrestrial. The film explores a master and salve dynamic full of sexual frustration shot in a way that is raw and gritty.

It’s romantic, a little kinky and has some cool body art created by students at the HUXLEY SCHOOL OF MAKEUP.
