Are you government accredited?
The Huxley School of Makeup is a private education provider that has been described by industry leaders as “Unique and Amazing” and “The best place to study makeup”. On completion of a course with us, you will receive a Certificate of Attainment for completing all the modules to the standard set by the school. There are several assessments held throughout our programs to ensure students are reaching the required benchmarks. While our competency levels are very high, it is our mission to help all our students reach their educational objectives. So, unlike many other schools, we offer plenty of external work experience placement and develop a comprehensive portfolio for them. This way they can show-case their new skills to employers and clients with confidence.
Do you offer payment plans?
You will be happy to know we offer all our students flexible payment plans to make it easy to pay off your course. Payments vary depending on your course and installment plan however, there aren’t any massive set-up fees and charges. For more info about payment plans, please contact the school administration and we can give you a specific break down that relates to your course.
Do you have to pay for a makeup and tool kit?
You may be happy to find out that if you study our Fashion & Beauty Makeup Artistry Course we will give you a fantastic makeup kit including a substantial amount of industry standard products to help you get started. All the makeup you use during class is provided by the school with the exception of a couple of products like mascara and lip liners etc.. but they are in the kit we give you!
Can I study part time?
Our Fashion & Beauty Makeup Artistry Course is offered in the evenings from 5pm with two class options available. This way you can still have a life outside of school.
What kind of jobs have graduates obtained?
Since our courses are so meticulous and enable students to develop complete portfolios, graduates are now working on all kinds of projects such as feature films, with makeup brands and cosmetics counters, within the bridal industry and even on fashion shoots and major events.
How many students in each class?
The Huxley School of Makeup offers course positions exclusively to successful applicants who complete our application process. Class sizes are kept small with 6-8 students in each class so you have plenty of individual contact time with your trainer.
Do you have to buy a brush roll?
I hope you’re sitting down, because if you study our Fashion & Beauty Makeup Artistry Course, we will give you a beautiful Professional Brush Roll for free (valued at over $400)! Our brushes are made from cruelty-free, hypoallergenic vegan synthetic fibre from Japan. They are hand-made and so soft you’ll need to feel it to believe it!
How do I get work as a Professional Makeup Artist?
There are lots of ways to get started but for most people they need a solid foundation of skills, work experience, and a portfolio to back up that experience. This way, when meeting clients or employers you can be confident in your skills and you can showcase your work and talent.
How can I apply?
To apply you will need to complete our application forms then come in for an interview with one of our Course Conveners. Once successful you can then enroll in a course.
